The Tephra Ridge Vineyard is located within the Lake County AVA and within proximity to the southern boundary of Langtry Farms. The high elevation (1,600 feet) vineyard is 33 acres and is planted to cabernet, petit verdot, merlot, and cabernet franc.
The Tephra Ridge Vineyard produces exceptionally high quality fruit as a result of its high elevation and well drained Tuff soils (volcanic ash). The steeper terrain of Tephra Ridge Vineyard provides for robust air movement limiting frost pressure and improved air circulation to control humidity.
